  17. <p>    Well, as the Church Lady would say, "isn't that special?"
  18. For her first national appearance since quitting tournament
  19. tennis, Chris Evert, 34, is this week's host of Saturday Night
  20. Live. She found the offer irresistible: "I'd kick myself if I'd
  21. said no. With tennis I've lived such a rigid life and not taken
  22. chances." Cool on court, she'll stay loose on the show, where
  23. nothing's set until the last minute. Says she: "I don't know
  24. what we'll do. Maybe make fun of early retirement."
